Omega has launched limited edition revivals of 18 watches that have been fitted with the original movements from 1913. The parts have been supplied by their museum. This collection aims to reprise the style and features of the wristwatches issued in the same year which Omega created for the military.
Omega’s latest creation sees the brand reprise a huge part of their watchmaking history as their unique 18 watch collection contains an original 18” CHRO calibre from 1913. The experts at Omega’s Atelier Tourbillon have managed to delicately refurbish the calibres to give them a new lease of life to the new Limited Edition collection.
The brand held a “Museum Night” at the start of June in Biel, Switzerland where they unveiled the “First Omega Wrist-Chronograph Limited Edition” collection. They’ve managed to give movements which are over 105 years old a new lease of life. The craftsmanship and skill that has gone into making this happen is incredible.
Here at The Vintage Jeweller we have a stunning collection of Omega watches that really do showcase the brilliant craftsmanship of the brand. Rather than opt for the new collection, why not go for a classic?
We have a stunning Omega Seamaster watch from the 1960s. It is a robust, stainless steel with a beautiful leather strap. Get your dose of originality as this watch still has the original dial, silver minute and hour hands and a silver second hand and more all from the 1960s.
The Omega has been a classic for a long time and has been there during many important events. Not only was the watch used by the British and American army during the First World War. It was also the first watch on the moon in 1969 and has been the official timekeeping device of the Olympic games since 1932.
If the classic silver and stainless steel aren’t for you, try another vintage Omega style with our Omega Geneve Manual watch. This watch is from the 1970s and could easily be styled by the modern day man.
We hope you find the right style to suit you, if you want any more information or guidance on the Omega watches or any of our other jewellery, please call us on 08006895265.
