An Existentialist masterpiece, by Camus. Set in sun-drenched Algiers, Meursault rejects the societal norm of showing emotion when his mother dies. As the story progresses, he commits a random act of murderous violence on the beach and a farcical trial ensues to determine his guilt. But Meursault continues to observe ‘normal’ human feelings as an outsider looking in. Camus’ extraordinary novella is not only a portrayal of the purposelessness of human existence, but a strange, beautiful and sensual book. “The sun glinted on Raymond’s revolver as he handed it to me”. This copy was published by Penguin in 1976.

Delivery within the United Kingdom

We offer FREE UK delivery on all items. Orders under £500 are sent via Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery and you should expect to receive your item within 1-3 days. Orders over £500 are sent via Royal Mail “Special Delivery – before 1pm” next working day delivery guaranteed.

Delivery outside of the United Kingdom (Worldwide)

We offer FREE worldwide shipping.

Orders under £1500 are sent via Royal Mail “International Signed For” and you should expect to receive your item within 5-10 working days.

Orders over £1500 are sent via FedEx and you should expect to receive your item with 1-3 days. Local taxes and duties may apply.

*If your order is under £1500 but you would like your item shipped via FedEx, we can do this at an additional cost of £65.*
