F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final novel. Drawn from his experiences as a screenwriter for MGM in the 1930s, The Last Tycoon is a novel of the amoral hedonism that pervaded Hollywood, with its omnipotent studios and seductive stars. The story centres on an ill-fated love affair between film producer Monroe Stahr and Kathleen Moore against a backdrop of money, booze and debauchery. Fitzgerald’s distinct, satirical and rigorous style here conveys the darker side of the American Dream and The Last Tycoon has the bones of a masterful work. Though the novel remained unfinished at the time of his death, this edition includes Fitzgerald’s notes, which go some way to illustrating the main characters. This copy was published by Penguin in 1972.

Delivery outside of the United Kingdom (Worldwide)

We offer FREE worldwide shipping.

Orders under £1500 are sent via Royal Mail “International Signed For” and you should expect to receive your item within 5-10 working days.

Orders over £1500 are sent via FedEx and you should expect to receive your item with 1-3 days. Local taxes and duties may apply.
