The first volume in Henry Miller’s The Rosy Crucifixion trilogy. Miller described the end of his time in New York and his move to avant-garde Paris in the 1930s as his ‘rosy crucifixion’. The first instalment Sexus recounts sexual exploits in Brooklyn, the breakdown of his first marriage and his passion for the flirtatious, intoxicating dance hall hostess Mona, a figure who comes to fascinate Miller throughout his life. Banned when it was first released for obscenity, those who called Miller solely a pornographer entirely missed the point of this book - sex is at the heart of his writing because he viewed it as an essential life force. Miller uses the debauchery in Sexus to facilitate his profound considerations of the self and the anatomy of happiness. This copy was published by Panther in 1976.

We offer FREE UK delivery on all items. Orders under £500 are sent via Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery and you should expect to receive your item within 1-3 days. Orders over £500 are sent via Royal Mail “Special Delivery – before 1pm” next working day delivery guaranteed.

Delivery outside of the United Kingdom (Worldwide)

We offer FREE worldwide shipping.

Orders under £1500 are sent via Royal Mail “International Signed For” and you should expect to receive your item within 5-10 working days.

Orders over £1500 are sent via FedEx and you should expect to receive your item with 1-3 days. Local taxes and duties may apply.

*If your order is under £1500 but you would like your item shipped via FedEx, we can do this at an additional cost of £65.*
