Here we have a wonderful pair of drop earrings that date back to the Mid Victorian era. The earrings are formed of an oval piece of malachite with a gold starfish style design on top. Below this there is a gold motif which is allowed to move freely. The earrings are crafted in a renaissance style that is typical of the one of the best known and most prolific jewellers of the 19th century, John Brogden.
Brodgen exhibited in the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, the 1855 Paris Exposition, and won a gold medal for his jewellery at the 1867 Paris Exposition. The companies design archives show the wonderfully creative and diverse pieces Brogden was making during the start of the second half of the 19th century. His work is rare and perfect for collectors. These particular earrings are in excellent condition apart from a slight nick to the back and bottom of one of the malachites.

Delivery outside of the United Kingdom (Worldwide)
We offer FREE worldwide shipping.
Orders under £1500 are sent via Royal Mail “International Signed For” and you should expect to receive your item within 5-10 working days.
Orders over £1500 are sent via FedEx and you should expect to receive your item with 1-3 days. Local taxes and duties may apply.
