Here we have an 18ct yellow gold ring handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail portraying two entwined snakes; each of which is adorned with a dazzling white old European cut diamond at its head. The shank elegantly forms the sinuous bodies of the snakes, culminating in gracefully curved tails at the shoulders.

Snake rings became extremely popular during the Victorian era, so much so in fact they were continually produced beyond this period and were often worn with a serpent style bangle, brooch, or hatpin.

The snake ring peaked in popularity when Queen Victoria opted for a gold snake design set with rubies, diamonds, and an emerald for her engagement ring; a particularly unusual style. As time wore on, snake jewellery and other Ancient Egypt inspired pieces (such as insect jewellery) came into fashion due to influences on Britain from the excavation of Tutankhamun’s tomb.

We offer FREE UK delivery on all items. Orders under £500 are sent via Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery and you should expect to receive your item within 1-3 days. Orders over £500 are sent via Royal Mail “Special Delivery – before 1pm” next working day delivery guaranteed.

Delivery outside of the United Kingdom (Worldwide)

We offer FREE worldwide shipping.

Orders under £1500 are sent via Royal Mail “International Signed For” and you should expect to receive your item within 5-10 working days.

Orders over £1500 are sent via FedEx and you should expect to receive your item with 1-3 days. Local taxes and duties may apply.
